Jerry Zhou

I grew up between two worlds, born in Hangzhou, China and brought to Arcadia, California when I was four. That in-between shaped how I see things: always looking for the detail others walk past, the light that lasts thirty seconds, the story underneath the surface.

I founded Sparko Sweets in Los Angeles, a custom lollipop company built from scratch. My wife joined in 2022 and we've been running it together since, with my focus on the brand side: e-commerce, creative direction, photography, and growth across retail channels. It's part business, part ongoing experiment in what it takes to build something people actually love.

Outside of Sparko, I shoot. Landscapes, astrophotography, travel, anything that requires patience and rewards stillness. A few of those prints are available here if something catches your eye.

I studied at UCLA for undergrad and returned for my MBA at Anderson. I think the best creative work has rigorous thinking underneath it.

This site is where it all lives, the work, the prints, the occasional thought worth writing down.
